Electrics - Slow/Indoor

Slow fly product reviews from the members of the Slow Fly RC mailing list here.

After spending an enjoyable Sunday in the relatively warm, dry and wind-free BEFA Indoor meeting (14 Feb 1999) I have now learned a few things about indoor flying. Mainly that it's not as easy as it looks. Those walls get really close really fast. Yes I crashed my LF1 after not a lot of flying. Still it's perfectly repairable so I'll be back.

My first slow flier is a Light Flyer 1 from IMA in Belgium. They make a range of indoor and outdoor foam models that are well worth a look. Indoor models include a Sopwith Triplane (!) and the outdoor models include stand-off scale C130, B25 Mitchell etc. If the foam cutting is as good as on the LF1 these will be worth getting too.

I have put together some photos from the BEFA indoor meeting in Leicester in February 1999 on another page. Since my standard of flying was not up to small enclosed spaces I had time to take a few pictures.
